Scholarships
A common misconception about scholarships is that they are only available for the smartest students with the highest GPAs. Now while it is true that many scholarships are merit-based, there are just as many that aren't. Many scholarships are offered based on need, residency, ethnic background, major, and more. In fact, there are scholarships out there for just about every kind of student. Click on the headings below to learn more. More financial assistance information is available in the Online Bulletin: Undergraduate or Graduate.
FALL 2024 Undergraduate Scholarships
The Andrews Partnership Scholarship (APS) is available to US residents, undocumented and international students admitted to undergraduate programs on the Berrien campus; students admitted to online and affiliate campus undergraduate programs are not eligible. The Undergraduate Admissions Office will determine the scholarship amounts for incoming freshmen and transfer students. To establish the scholarship amount, the Undergraduate Admissions Office will determine a rating based on the following guidelines:
- Confirmed U.S. SAT or ACT scores and/or
- Confirmed U.S. cumulative GPA or equivalent (following the conclusion of the sixth semester for academy or high school)
Please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office for further details.
Freshmen that have successfully met the admission requirements of Andrews University will receive a scholarship of $8,000 - $14,000 per year.

Andrews University rewards APS/SAT scholars with a special Andrews Partnership Scholarship that covers 100% tuition for four years for incoming freshmen with a cap of 144 credits and limited to a degree. To confirm receipt of the scholarship, submit appropriate records to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. All gift aid received, including a university scholarship or grant, cannot exceed the cost of full tuition for up to 16 credits per semester, book charges of up to $550 per semester, plus General and recognized course fees. When total gift aid is more than the costs mentioned above, the university scholarship or grant is reduced until gift aid equals the costs. All gift aid is added in the following order: external scholarships, merit aid, and then need-based aid. Should the external scholarships and merit-aid portions exceed the tuition, books and fees limit, boarding students may include the minimum costs of room and board in the calculation. To confirm receipt of the scholarship, submit appropriate records (award letter, certificate and/or official test scores) to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
